Growing up in the 80s, I woke up to Saturday morning cartoons, MTV and drawing supplies. Fortunately, smart phones and social media were not around at that time, which allowed me to focus more on nurturing my imagination. During my childhood, I immersed myself in reading comic books and creating my own superheroes and Disney characters through illustrations. This passion for storytelling has remained with me throughout my life, extending into my college years at the Academy of Arts where I pursued studies in animation film and graphic design. After college, I primarily worked as a freelancer in the early 2000s, but my background in illustration and film has always found its way back into my life. I have come to realize that visual storytelling plays a significant role in marketing, particularly in the realm of technology.

14+ years of
visual communication

My journey in the tech industry began in 2007 at Oracle, in the heart of Silicon Valley, where I used whiteboard illustrations to simplify and visualize complex technical concepts during team events. With a background in animation and graphic design, this experience not only aligned with my core interests but also ignited a lasting passion for visual communication and storytelling—a path I’ve been dedicated to ever since.

With formal training from Duarte and hands-on roles at companies like Cisco, Samsung, Franklin Templeton, and Guidewire, I honed my skills across a range of industries and audiences. Today, I’m proud to be part of the team at Apple, where I collaborate with cross-functional partners to craft impactful Keynote presentations—bringing stories to life for audiences at events like WWDC.

Being surrounded by such incredible talent at Apple and throughout Silicon Valley has profoundly influenced my growth as a visual storyteller, constantly pushing me to sharpen my craft and expand my creative perspective.
